Tomorrow, we will list the Republicans that voted for Obama’s Stimulus that has turned out to be nothing more than a slush fund for the Democrat Party.

Then, next week, RINOList.org will take a look at the forecast for TARP at the time of the vote and then at the current circumstance two years after.  Stay Tuned Rinohunters!

update: Rep. Paul Ryan was missing from the list.  Thanks to Oynx, an observant Freeper, for the correction.

I think this is the vote that you want for the House.

    http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2008/roll681.xml

This was the first vote on TARP that failed.

    http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2008/roll674.xml

So I think you’re missing a few more House Republicans that voted in favor of TARP.

  • Mike

You need to make a slight change. The “Warner” from Virginia who is our senator is a Democrat, so you need to remove his name. He is Mark Warner. We used to have Senator John Warner from Virginia who was a republican, but the one that voted for TARP was Democrat Mark Warner.

Thank you both so much for your contribution to the site. I am researching both of your corrections and will have a response and possible correction up tomorrow morning. Unraveling the complex voting record of the TARP bill has taken me about 4-5 hours of research because of so many different understandings of what exactly the time line of events were and exactly which votes mattered. There are several votes of the House that seem to mean something, however on further inspection they were meaningless. I’ll have an answer on both of your comments in the morning. Thanks!

The GOP including boner voted for tarp and now they criticize it for campaign purposes. Fucking hypocrites. Btw the stimulus bill gave all you fucking whiners a tax cut. The largest in history. But you stupid morons didn’t notice.

You guys are missing the point. This site has nothing to do about democrats. It’s about exposing RINOs in the republican party. This list is critical to understanding the line in the sand that exists within the party.

The hypocrisy is that Republicans like to talk about how government should stay out of the free market…but when staring down the face of disaster created by Republican failure to impose MORE banking regulations ( because you know how Republicans hate regulations) during the Bush Administration you’ll find the names of a lot of Prominent Republicans who would like you to forget they ever voted to approve Bush’s Tarp plan:

    It’s do as I say….don’t do as I do.
