It is common knowledge that Senator Gregg has used his public office to enriched himself and his family in the amount of millions of dollars.

Senator Gregg accepted a position serving in the Democrat Obama White House as Commerce Secretary. It is reported that he changed his mind and refused the appointment after the president reorganized the commerce department and limited much of the authority of the Commerce Secretary. In June of 2006, Senator Gregg voted with Democrats in support of homosexual marriage. The bill that would ban the practice lost by one vote. Senator Gregg believes tax revenue should be used to fund fetal stem cell research, encouraging the murder of unborn babies. Senator Gregg has missed at least 176 votes since being elected to the Senate. Over 77% of these missed votes were for issues favoured by Republicans.
